C’est en tant que co-présentatrice que Mary J. Blige a participé à l’émission américaine “Live! With Kelly”. La Queen du Hip Hop/Soul en a profité pour interpréter son titre “The Living Proof”, extrait de la BO du film “The Help”, qui, selon Mary, aurait été snobé lors de l’annonce des nominations pour les Oscars 2012. C’est une prestation bien irrégulière que Mary nous offre ici. Même si celle-ci s’annonçait vraiment pas mal, on pouvait percevoir un certain fléchissement au niveau de la qualité vocale au fur et à mesure de la performance, devenant même assez embarrassant par moment, pour atteindre son paroxysme à 2:35…
Anyway! Malgré ses quelques imperfections, je tiens particulièrement à saluer la passion avec laquelle Mary a interprété ses chansons. A défaut d’une prestation vocale parfaite, elle a réellement réussi à dégager quelque chose selon moi et personnellement je trouve ça génial. Néanmoins, c’est assez dommage car une performance irréprochable aurait été la plus belle réponse face au snob des Oscars (#SHADE). Mary avait d’ailleurs exprimé son mécontentement à ce sujet sur sa page Twitter, qualifiant même le choix de l’Académie de “méchant”… Hum, je compatis. Ça fait toujours mal de savoir que son travail n’est pas apprécié à sa juste valeur…

Considering Mary J had only just heard that The Living Proof was not going to be Nominated for an Oscar ,Mary refused to give in to the disappointment & surprise she obviously felt & not perform. I think she proved to everyone how determined she was to continue giving her millions of f ans around the world exactly what they have loved her for over the last 20 years. Shes had disappointments before & she;ll have them again but Mary will always ride above them & keep on doing what she does, producing her music ,her way & on her terms. Its this determination that has made Mary J Blige the most Respected, Successful Artist in R&B Music -The Living Proof was a clear Favourite to Land the Oscar yet due to the Academy’s ridiculous Change of Rules It will never receive the accolade it so rightly deserves. ( the Academy have now themselves admitted the rules will be looked at prior to next years awards) Marys emotional performance of the Song on the night clearly showed the Brilliance , Power & Strength of a legendary Artist who refuses to Lip-Sync like many others today. Heuuh le début est magnifique mais à la fin ça devient ridicule sans être horrible non plus.
J’espère qu’elle sortira en single sa chansons avec Beyoncé d’ailleurs j’adore ce gif de Bee x) !
J’ai bien aimé. Elle vivait vraiment la chanson et je trouve qu’elle a quand même bien chanté dans l’ensemble !
